Design Office Technician M/W

As a key member of the Design Office, and under the direct responsibility of the Design Office Manager, your mission is to define and model new mechanical parts to be manufactured, in full compliance with the expectations of application engineers and operational staff (methods & production).

• Based on specifications, design and dimension single parts and assemblies using the Design Office’s design tools,

 

• Draw up overall and detail plans, including views, sections, cross-sections and associated bills of materials,

 

• Respond to the technical needs of production with a constant concern for fair cost,

 

• Write documentation and design notes,

 

• Ensure compliance with internal (cartridge, quotations, etc.) and external (international standards, aeronautical regulations) standards,

 

• Collaborate with application engineers and subcontractors, particularly in the design and introduction of new products.

 

You will also be responsible for product developments for current serial products, whether these come directly from the customer or from internal departments, in order to keep the design office’s technical documentation up to date. In this capacity, you interface with the purchasing, logistics, sales administration, quality, sales and industrialization departments to ensure that definition changes are properly managed.

You will be responsible for developing our drawing and archiving processes using digital tools, in order to define more efficient drawing management methods (digitization of drawings, electronic validation and distribution of drawings and computerized nomenclature, etc.). In this context, you will be a driving force behind proposals. You will be trained to use the IT tools at your disposal, in particular PDM-link and creo2.

You have a Bac-pro, BAC +2 (BTS, DUT) in design, and are at ease with IT and office automation. You have a good command of ProEngineer and are familiar with standards and regulations relating to quotation/tolerancing. Knowledge of PDM-link is a plus.

You are autonomous, methodical, precise and rigorous. Curious, you have a basic understanding of written English.
